Gulnara Karimova (born on July 8 1972) is the eldest daughter of the Presidentn of Uzbekistan. She graduated arimova graduated from Tashkent State University in 1994, majoring in Economics. She then earned a Master of Arts in regional studies at Harvard University, and holds a Doctoral degree in political science from theUniversity of World Economy and Diplomacy in Tashkent. She also completed a Jewelry Design course in New York Fashion Institute. She was married and lived in the USA up until 2001. Media and public refers to Gulnara Karimova as a “Robber Baroness”. She lives a lot of time in Geneva. She owned a mobile telephone network in Uzbekista.

It is said that she has financial interests worth $600 million in retail, nightclubs, and tourism which is denied by Gulnara who attributes these belongings to her family members and friends. In December 2009, the Swiss magazine "Bilan" in its list of the richest people in Switzerland assessed Gulnara Karimova to be one of the ten richest women in the country.

Right after her family break-up and leaving the United States in 2001, she was attributed to be “subject to arrest warrant” for child abduction. Gulnara is sometimes described in the media as the single most hated person in the country.
