Mila Jovovich (born Milica Jovovic) was born on December 17 1975 in Kiev, Ukraine to a Serbian pediatrician father and a Russian stage actress mother. When Mila was 5 years old her family moved to London and after that to Sacramento and Los Angeles, California. Her parents had to work as house cleaners to support the family and her father was incarcerated for illegal activity with medical insurance. Mila attended public school after they moved to USA and she learned English quickly. At the age 12 Mila left schools to focus on modeling and as a model she landed gigs with Vogue and Cosmopolitan and worked with world known brand names. She also attended acting school since 10 years old and had her first role at 13, although she didn’t gain much success at that time. Her breakthrough role was a role in the Luc Besson film “The Fifth Element”. Mila is married and has a daughter. She continues to star in the movies and has her own production company.

She then moved to Europe and after she returned she married Luc Besson in Las Vegas, but they divorced one year later. Besides modeling and acting Mila also recorded a music album and created a clothing line.
