Tatiana Bulanova was born March 6 1969 in now Saint Petersburg. Her father was a submarine officer and her mother was a photographer. She acquired her interest in music and learned to play guitar at age 15. Later she entered the Institute of Culture majoring in Librarian. Two years later, in 1989 she transferred to studio under the supervision of Saint Petersburg Music Hall. She met her future husband Nikolay Tagrin the same year who at the time was a director of band “Summer Garden”. Tatiana Bulanova joined the band and they began touring together. She has been together with her husband for 13 years and they have a son together. She is married for the second time to a soccer player and the couple had a son in 2007.
Did You Know?
In 2004 she was awarded a title Distinguished Artist of Russia. She also won the Russian version of the show “Dancing with the stars” in 2011.
Other interesting facts:
Tatiana Bulanova’s second album which brought her huge popularity was titled “Don’t Cry” and contained mostly that sounded sad and romantic. For that Tatiana is often referred to as “The Crying Singer”.
